Yes! I’ve been teaching highly technical courses to non-technical people over Zoom since 2016. I was certified as an Apple Repair Technician in 2006 and managed the largest independent Apple service store in the world from 2005 to 2014 (Tekserve in NYC). You will need a Mac computer and iPhone that are less than 4 years old. You will also need to download the free version of Zoom.

Your digital assets are well worth protecting. In the first week of the course, you’ll cancel online services you no longer need. I think that you’ll end up saving money by the end but you can plan for these costs.

1Password ($3/month) – We’ll use this tool to secure all your online accounts with unguessable passwords. You’ll never have to type a password manually because 1Password works with everything on your Mac & iPhone.

GMAIL ($6/month) – We’ll use GMAIL to consolidate all your email accounts into one place to check. And we will set up a professional email address for you like name@yourname.com ($20/year if you don’t already own yourname.com).

Apple iCloud and External Hard Drive ($3-9/month + $60) – We’ll use Apple iCloud to backup your Mac & iPhone in the cloud. You’ll also backup to an external hard drive in case you lose access to your iCloud account.
